You ve lost the weight but how clean are you on the inside where it counts

In today's age and world, being slim, shapely, possessing ripped abdominal muscles and toned arms seems to be the aim of a vast majority of the people you see spending tons of hours working out at gyms. These same people spend loads of money on the new weight-loss pill or supplement guaranteed to 'make you eat less and increase your metabolism...' and in spite of whatever side effects the product may contain, the average Joe, still thinks this quick fix will be worth the risk. In truth, some of these people have luck with these efforts, and yes they possess the ever so ripped and toned muscles we as a society admire so much. However, the fact that needs to be accepted and pondered upon thoroughly is: 'Whatever is not built on a proper foundation will eventually crumble!' Most fitness experts and bodybuilders atrophy and wear down prematurely as sooner or later, these muscles 'blown up' with unnatural substances have a tendency to pretty much deflate. Moreover, 'ripped' muscles and supposed 'feats' of strength DO NOT depict proper and optimal health. There is a saying that is known to every culture which goes:” you are what you eat...” What you eat plays arguably the most important role on your overall health and fitness, thus PROPER DIET should be the most important factor of any and every health seeker. What then should one eat? In a nut-shell: yes as boring as it may sound - Fruits and Vegetables. These substances possess the abilities to not only provide the necessary fuel needed for day to day activities, but play important and vital roles in 1. Providing the alkaline reserves in the body for balancing chemical metabolism within. 2. Cleansing the digestive and excretory tract as they act as the much needed intestinal broom to sweep these 'pipes' (as you may call them) clean to function properly in their duties of nourishing and cleansing the body. 3. Keeping the body fit, trim and in shape WITHOUT the unwanted side effects of toxic and artificial substances such as pills and supplements. Sure, it is a great feeling to be able to see the awesome cuts in your 'abs' and arms when you look in the mirror, but feeling good on the inside as well and knowing that you are thoroughly cleansed internally should be of just as much importance as 'getting ripped'. As I stated in one of my previous articles, a quick and sure-fire method of attaining internal cleanliness and the added bonus of healthy weight-loss will be to undergo a fast. There are several methods of this tried and true method of healing and although it is covered to a degree in the free resources section of my website, you can always do some research on this radical; yet extremely effective method of internal purification and weight loss. In conclusion, the cleaner you are on the inside and the freer you are of toxicity the quicker you can and will attain your goal of being in shape.

The best way to lose weight

Copyright 2006 Raymond Burton Lets start off by making sure that when you say “What is the best way to lose weight?” That what you really mean is to lose that weight safely and to keep it off for life. If that is what you mean, then lets cut through some common misconceptions and show you the best way to lose weight without the fluff and confusion. There is no single best way to achieve weight loss; it is always a combined effort using a couple different systems of the body. This means that in order to lose your weight fast but to do it safely we have to eat right, do some aerobic exercise as well as resistance training. From years of personal training I can tell you with certainty that if one of these three components is missing, your weight loss will be slow to non-existent. Now I have seen people lose weight fast with only extreme dieting, however this weight comes back quickly and usually with a few extra pounds to make for a comfortable stay. Not only is this not the best way or even the fastest way for weight loss but also it is very unsafe. The systems of the body do like to lose weight in this fashion and will rebel. So how does one go about losing weight as quick as possible using the mentioned methods? Lets talk about eating right for weight loss first. Right eating includes 4-6 small meals a day. Each of these meals should contain some of all the macronutrients. This means fat, carbohydrates as well as protein. Divide these meals evenly through the day, say every three to four hours. Another of the best things you can do to lose weight quickly is incorporate aerobic exercise into your schedule. This means any activity that gets you breathing harder than normal and for a duration of 30 minutes to an hour. You should do this at least 4 times a week along with the next component of our “best way to lose weight” system. Now remember, this is a system, not a best way, lose weight fast gimmick. So along with your aerobic exercise like walking or jogging you are going to do some resistance training. This does not have to be complicated. A weight loss workout program only has to put a little more stress than usual on your muscles to be effective. This could be as simple as this. Bodyweight Squats Pushups on your knees Sit-ups or crunches Calf Raises on some stairs Do all of these in a row until you cant do another one and then repeat the whole weight loss circuit two more times. This should be done every time you do your cardio for the first couple of weeks to get the ball rolling and to get rid of the stomach rolls…. You can see that in fact, the best way to lose weight and keep it off for life, is more like a way of living. It really isn’t that big of a deal though. The ideas presented above will hardly impede your regular schedule. Sure, you may miss one hour long TV show, but the results and way you feel will more than make up for a missed episode of “So You Think You Can Dance”.

Weight loss and the theory of constraints

It's always been fascinating to me how business, finance and weight loss parallel one another. Take a personal bank account for instance. If you add more to it than you take out of it, your account will grow bigger and bigger. The same is true with your body. If you put more into it through eating than you take out of it through activity it will grow bigger and bigger. That's a simple truth isn't it? What about a business? If a business owner doesn't watch his business on a daily basis and take action when necessary his business will most probably fail. The same is true with a weight loss program. If it's not monitored on a daily basis and action taken when necessary it will fail. Most businesses fail. So do most weight loss programs. That's a simple truth also. I've been an industrial engineer all my life and years ago I read a book that pertained to manufacturing by Dr. Eliyahu M. Goldratt, an Israeli physicist, entitled "The Theory of Constraints". The core idea in the Theory of Constraints is that every real system, such as a profit-making enterprise, must have at least one constraint. If it were not true, then the system would produce an infinite amount of whatever it strives for. In the case of a profit-making enterprise, it would be infinite profits. Because a constraint is a factor that limits the system from getting more of whatever it strives for, then a business manager who wants more profits must manage the constraint. There really is no choice in the matter. Either you manage constraints or they manage you. The constraints will determine the output of the system whether they are acknowledged and managed or not. There can be many constraints in a business but I found out in my engineering career there is usually a primary one. All constraints must be managed but by focusing the most attention on the primary one, whatever is being strived for will improve. Perfection is never achieved but improvement can be accomplished. It's a constant battle. Does The Theory of Constraints apply to weight loss? Absolutely! If there were no constraints to weight loss then none of us would be fat. Dieters can achieve improvement by focusing on their primary constraint the same as the business manager, even though all constraints must be managed. It's a constant battle. So what is the primary constraint to weight loss? I think it's universal to all dieters. The cartoon character Pogo, by Walt Kelly, said it best. "We have met the enemy and he is us." Yep. The primary constraint to weight loss is between our ears. We prefer sitting on the couch and indulging in the pleasures of the moment rather than striving for what we would like to have in the future. As far as weight loss is concerned we might as well be hunting for unicorns or searching for pots of gold at the end of rainbows. We're just as likely to find them as to lose weight. Good information on weight loss is abundant but to lose weight you must become proactive. Knowledge is not enough. You've got to work on that primary constraint. You've got to get off that couch and DO SOMETHING. I wish you the best.
